We have a full range of appointment times available from Monday to Friday from 08:30 until 12:00 and from 14:30 until 18:00, bookable in advance. Times and doctors vary from day to day, please telephone reception for more details. From September 2023 the working days of our GP's are as follows:

• Dr Bailey - Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
• Dr Blunt - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Dr Kathryn Griffin - Monday and Tuesday
• Dr Rachael McGowan - Thursday and Friday
• Dr Nicholas Downward - Monday and Wednesday

We are glad to answer queries over the phone if a visit to the surgery is not indicated. If you wish to speak to the doctor personally, please ring and leave your details and a doctor will ring you back.

We are an approved training practice so for most of the year will have a fully qualified doctor (Registrar) undergoing further training in order to become a general practitioner.

Occasionally your doctor will have the registrar sitting in with them. You will be told about this in advance and are welcome to ask for them not to be present.

We work closely with the registrar throughout their time with us, usually one year. Please accept their services as an extension of our own.

We will also occasionally have medical students in the practice who may sit in with your doctor, as above you can ask them not to be present.

Buses stop at Kings Road junction.

Access and parking is available at the front and rear of the building, although limited. 

Please keep the front entrance clear for disabled drivers   and emergency vehicles. 

Wheelchair access is available at the front and throughout the ground floor.  If you need any assistance regarding your visit to the surgery please let reception know

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:00 if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.

Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.

Please attend your appointment on time, if you are late you may not be seen. If you are not seen you will not be able to rearrange your appointment until the next working day-except in the event of an medical emergency that requires immediate attention.

If you require an interpreter to attend with you when you see your Doctor please notify the receptionist and she will arrange this for you.

Weekend appointments are available locally. If you wish to see a local GP or Nurse at the weekend, please contact the surgery and we will be able to advise you on where there are available appointments.
